He had a productive film and TV career during the 1940’s and 1950’s appearing in many well-known productions of the era. His many film appearances include Rope 1939, A Night at an Inn 1946, The Perfect Alibi 1949, The Girl at the Window 1954 and Stop Press Girl 1949 – he played the part of the Morning sun Editor in this film which co-starred Basil Radford, Naunton Wayne, and Sally Ann Howes.
His many TV appearances include roles in Show Me a Spy 1951, The Heir of Skipton 1953, The Story of the Treasure Seekers 1953, Potts and the Phantom Piper 1957, The Riddle of the Red Wolf 1958 and The Young Lady from London in 1959 – he played the part of Konstantin Jesky.
