The British actress Noel Hood was born on Christmas day in 1909 and died 15th October 1979. She was married to the actor Charles Oliver with whom she appeared with in the Charters and Caldicott film Crook’s Tour in 1941 – she played the part of Charters sister Edith who was engaged to Caldicott before he fell in love with Greta Gynt’s character.
Crook’s Tour was her first film of many more that she appeared in; amongst them are Nine Till Six 1952, The Belles of St Trinians 1954, The Constant Husband, The Curse of Frankenstein 1957, The Surgeon’s Knife 1957, Son of Robin Hood 1958, The Inn of the Sixth Happiness 1958, The Angry Silence 1960 and The Devil Never Sleeps 1962.
She also appeared in several TV productions including Don’t Tell Father 1959, The Trouble With Harry 1960, Emergency Ward 10, From a Birds Eye View 1970.
The actress died 15th October 1979.
