(Sir) Campbell Cotts the South African born actor was born 21st April 1902. He appeared in a number of British films from the lates 1940’s and through the 1950’s; his first being Fame is the Spur in 1947.
During the early 1960’s he appeared mainly on TV.
In 1949 he appeared alongside Basil Radford and Naunton Wayne in Stop Press Girl – he played the part of John Fairfax (pictured).
Other films that he appeared in include Trottie True 1949, The Angel With the Trumpet 1950, Last Holiday 1950, The Hour of 13 in 1952, Private’s Progress 1956, Around the World in 80 Days 1956, The Good Companions 1957 and Doctor at Large 1957.
He died in 1964 at the age of 61.
