
Her first film role was as Mrs Hammond (pictured) in the WW2 home front film Millions Like Us. The 1943 film which starred Patricia Roc, Eric Portman and Gordon Jackson was the fourth film that Basil Radford and Naunton Wayne appeared in as Charters and Caldicott.
Other films that the British actress appeared in include Yellow Canary 1944 which starred Anna Neagle and Richard Greene, The Seventh Veil 1944, London Belongs to Me 1948 and The Blind Goddess 1948.
Her TV roles include Mrs Thompson Snr in the late 1950’s The TV series The Thompson Family and as Mrs Janson in the 1960 TV series The Probation Officer.
Her numerous radio productions include the first post-war soap on British radio - Mrs. Dale's Diary which was first broadcast on the Light Programme at 4pm on Monday 5th. January 1948; she played the part of Mrs Morgan the char lady who subsequently married Mr. Maggs (played by Jack Howarth).
She died on January 23, 1972
