He appeared in two films alongside Basil Radford and Naunton Wayne; as the MC in the dance scene in Millions Like Us in 1943 and Next of Kin in 1946 where he played the part of a Builder’s labourer.
Some of the many other films that he appeared in include Old Soldiers Never Die 1931, The Great Defender 1934, No Monkey Business 1935, Break the News 1938, Keep Smiling 1938, It Happened One Sunday 1944 and Kiss the Bride Goodbye 1945.
He also appeared in several George Formby films including Trouble Brewing 1938, Come on George 1939, Let George Do It 1940 and Spare a Copper 1940.
