She appeared in a number of British films, mainly during the 1940’s and 1950’s and graduated into TV productions during the 1960’s. Her first film appearance was in the 1920 production of Enchantment. Other films that she appeared include Hitchcock’s Sabotage in 1936 – she played the part of Renee; Housemaster in 1938 starring Otto Kruge; Saloon Bar 1940; Don’t Take it To Heart! 1944 which starred her husband Richard Bird; It Started in Paradise 1952 and The Main Chance in 1964 – which was also broadcast in the USA as an Edgar Wallace Mystery.
In 1949 she played the part of Aunt Mab (pictured) in Stop Press Girl which starred Basil Radford, Naunton Wayne and Sally Ann Howes.
Her various TV appearances include Dixon of Dock Green as Anglo-Saxon Joy; Call Oxbridge 2000 in 1961 which was a spin-off from Emergency Ward 10 and as Mrs Starr in Public Eye between 1966 and 1968.
She died on March 14th 1977.
