Of his many appearances, he played the role of a crook (pictured) in the Basil Radford and Naunton Wayne film Stop Press Girl in 1949 and also their film Helter Skelter also 1949.
Other notable productions that he appeared in include Just Williams’s Luck 1948, No Orchids for Miss Blandish 1948, Don’t Ever Leave Me 1949, Moulin Rouge 1952, Genevieve 1953, The Belles of St Trinian’s 1954, The Delavine Affair 1955, Reach for the Sky 1956, Look Back in Anger 1959, Hancock’s Half Hour, The Larkins 1960, several appearances in the TV series Dixon of Dock Green and Z Cars. One of his final appearances was as the Referee in The Krays film in 1990.
