The actor was quite active during his relatively short film career appearing in several films throughout the 1930’s and early 1940’s. Some of more well-known films that he appeared in include: Down Our Street 1932, Sing as we Go 1934, Squibs 1935, Scrooge 1935 – he played the part of the poulterer with the prize turkey, Dreams Come True 1936, The Sky’s the Limit 1938, She Stoops to Conquer 1938 and Let the People Sing 1942. He also appeared in two Old Mother Riley films – Old Mother Riley in Business 1942 and as barnacle Bill in old Mother Riley Overseas in 1943.
For fans of Charters and Caldicott, he played the part of the Waiter (pictured) in 1940’s Crook’s Tour.
He died 24th August 1944 in Glasgow.
