The actress Sally Stewart was born 8th October 1911 in Carlisle, Cumbria, as Sarah Weir Stewart.
Whilst she doesn’t appear to have featured in many films, her final recorded appearance was in 1938 in The Lady Vanishes. She played the role of Julie, one of the two friends of Iris (played by Margaret Lockwood); the other friend was Blanche played by Googie Withers.
Other films that she appeared in include Don’t Be a Dummy (1932), Falling in Love (1934), Holiday’s End (1937), His Lordship Regrets (1938) and Wanted by Scotland Yard (1939).
She died in 2002.
