Wally Patch the English actor and comedian was born 26th September 1888. He began working on the music hall stages in 1912 and eventually progressed to film and TV work. His first film appearance was in 1928, and he went on to appear in 213 other films. He worked up to his death, with his last television appearance in the comedy Doctor in the House in 1970. He died 27th October 1970.

In 1940 he played an uncredited part of a Fisherman (pictured) in the Charters and Caldicott (played by Basil Radford and Naunton Wayne) film Night Train to Munich. In 1949 he appeared in another film which featured the two actors - he played the part of the BBC Commissionaire in the comedy film Helter Skelter.
His TV appearances include Dancers in Mourning 1959, King of the River and Who is Sylvia both 1967.
